Introduction

Hello World! My name is Sonu Saji and I’m from India. I’m doing Bachelor’s of Cyber Security at the Deakin University. I formed my interest in IT since my childhood. After completing my higher secondary studies I decided to choose IT as my career. But then I realized that IT is a vast area of study. After doing research about courses i found out that cyber security is a really promising area of study in IT and I decided to pursue it as my career. I have studied some programming languages like C++ as a base and there are a lot more to study in this course.  I think being a cyber security professional would make my career really promising as the present society and IT companies require more security professionals. I would like to work as a cyber security consultant who consults clients around security risk. I think my skill is to work interacting with people. One other field in which I am interested is the computer forensics analyst which focuses on cyber crimes. The tasks include recovering deleted files, interpreting data linked to crime, analyzing mobile phone records, pursuing data traits and so on. The most important qualities that I should develop to be a cyber security specialist is problem solving and critical thinking skills. Of course, the stem skills like programming and networking are also really important.  I’m sure that I can develop all these skills during the course.
